Electrical Project Manager Role in Mackay Coal Fields

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the delivery of surface CHPP mining infrastructure and equipment projects in our diverse and rewarding work environment.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating project deliverables, managing design and execution processes, and engaging with stakeholders to investigate requirements and identify risks.

In this role, you will contribute to portfolio and team delivery strategies and undertake project-related duties as defined by the Portfolio Lead. To be successful, you must possess scope of work and deliverables in line with project management processes.

The ideal candidate will have minimum 5-10 years of experience delivering projects in brownfield coal mining environments, preferably CHPP. They should have a sound understanding of Front-End Loading processes, a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or Project Management, and a strong background in project delivery.

You will be required to manage engineering design processes, prepare project deliverables, and develop strong project documentation and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate project deliverables for surface CHPP mining infrastructure and equipment
  • Manage design, procurement, and execution of projects
  • Engage with stakeholders to investigate requirements, identify risks, and understand context
  • Contribute to portfolio and team delivery strategies
  • Undertake project-related duties as defined by Portfolio Lead
  • Possess scope of work and deliverables in line with project management processes
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-10 years experience delivering projects in brownfield coal mining environment, ideally CHPP
  • SOUND understanding of Front-End Loading processes
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or Project Management preferred
  • Strong background and proven track record in projects
  • Strong project documentation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage engineering design process and prepare project deliverables
Ongoing Contract Opportunity

This is an ongoing contract position offering a generous hourly rate, camp accommodation, and a 5/2 roster. The role includes flexibility for Work From Home (WFH) and options for DIDO or FIFO from Brisbane. Reporting to the Portfolio Lead, you will deliver projects in the CHPP & Equipment Portfolio.
