Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 AUD. The compensation package includes a range of benefits, including:

About the Role

This position requires a skilled Cook to provide well-presented and nutritious meals in a home-like environment for our elderly residents. A passion for food and a person-first approach are essential qualities for success in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Planning and preparing well-balanced and nutritious meals for our residents
  • Liaising with residents, families, and the care team to ensure dietary, individual, and cultural needs are met
  • Supporting the efficient functioning of kitchen and catering services
  • Complying with all infection control and food safety procedures
  • Performing administrative duties related to kitchen operations, such as stock taking and food quality assessment

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in meal preparation and delivery in a similar environment
  • Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to solve problems independently
