About this role

As a highly motivated Material Scientist, you will play a crucial role in the development and optimisation of novel dye formulations for both textile and cosmetic applications. You will collaborate closely with a team of scientists to design, synthesise, and evaluate innovative dye compounds and formulations, ensuring they meet industry performance standards.

Key activities include:

  • Designing and executing experiments to develop innovative dye formulations for various applications.
  • Optimising existing dye formulations to improve performance characteristics such as colour strength, fastness, and stability.
  • Conducting thorough testing and analysis of dye formulations to assess their performance and quality.
  • Collaborating with the R&D team to optimise dyeing processes and improve product performance.
  • Staying at the forefront of dye chemistry innovations by researching emerging trends and advancements in materials science.

Qualifications include:

  • A postgraduate degree in material science, chemistry, formulations chemistry or a related field.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Proficiency in a range of laboratory techniques and equipment operation.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accurate and meticulous record-keeping.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
