Production Manager

As a key member of the Technical Services team, you will provide technical expertise in short and medium-term mine planning services and support to front-line supervisors at Yancoal.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure implementation and compliance of the Weekly Plan and site Safety, Health, and Environmental standards to maintain safe and sustainable mine standards.
- Design and develop rolling weekly excavator plans and schedules for the mining operation, utilizing your skills to optimize production.
- Coordinate plans and schedules, monitoring actual progress against benchmarks, while maintaining compliance with safety standards, environmental standards, and associated legislative requirements.
- Prepare and submit daily and weekly production reports and summaries, ensuring all production schedules are adhered to meet production requirements.
- Ensure all statutory requirements are fulfilled in the technical management of short-term mine planning and reporting of the project to key stakeholders.
- Utilize your skills to continually aim for innovative solutions and support standardizing site Technical Services processes.
To be successful in this role, you will hold the following qualifications and experience:
- Degree in Mining Engineering or comparable degree.
- Experience in open-cut mining operations within the coal industry, preferably.
- High standard of written and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Drive for continuous improvement initiatives through scheduling, design, or innovation.
- Passion and commitment to safety and the environment.
- Advanced MS Office skills, with Vulcan experience and other mine planning software being advantageous.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully and constructively interact with people at all levels, including internal, external stakeholders, and clients.
