Public Health Leader

About the Role:

  • Provide essential guidance and support to Environmental Health Officers to deliver high-quality public health services to the community.
  • Evaluate and maintain professional conduct, technical excellence, and outstanding service delivery across the team.
  • Enhance and develop public health policies, operating procedures, and systems for efficient and effective delivery of services.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and guide Environmental Health Officers to maintain high standards of customer service, technical expertise, and professionalism.
  • Conduct internal audits of Officer Inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with policy and procedures.
  • Manage difficult complaints and negotiate positive outcomes with relevant parties.
  • Review Officer legal proceedings and liaise with solicitors to ensure rules of evidence and legal practice are expertly delivered.

About You:

  • Hold a Graduate Diploma of Environmental Health Practice or equivalent, and be eligible for membership with Environmental Health Professionals Australia.
  • Demonstrate solid experience in Public Health Services and understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Be an individual seeking career growth opportunities and possessing excellent mentoring and motivating skills.
