At the forefront of astronomy, we are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team. This exciting opportunity will see you play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining software components that underpin our capabilities.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with project stakeholders to determine needs and priorities, develop and maintain software components coordinating SKA data dissemination, and participate in operational support of our centre by contributing to fault analysis and deployment of software components.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Develop innovative software components that drive business outcomes.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of robust systems for astronomical data delivery and analysis.
Your Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Sharing knowledge and experience, creating software solutions and nurturing innovation.
  • Creating software solutions exploring innovative ideas and approaches, networking with science and engineering colleagues.
  • Contributing to initiate and maintain collaborative relationships with external researchers and experts, manage contracts and transfer technology to industry.
