The Opportunity

As a visionary ELC Director, you will lead our faith-based early learning centre, where children are nurtured, valued and empowered to thrive.

The role is for leading a team of dedicated educators, ensuring excellence in all aspects of the centre's operations, teaching and learning, staff management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Vision - Inspire and mentor a team of educators, fostering a strong, faith-based, child-centred learning culture.
  • Operations & Compliance - Oversee all aspects of the centre's operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Teaching & Learning - Drive excellence in curriculum implementation, influenced by Reggio Emilia principles and aligned with educational frameworks.
  • Pastoral Care & Community Engagement - Build strong relationships with families, the school community, and local networks to enhance the ELC's impact.
  • Staff & Performance Management - Lead recruitment, training, and professional development to cultivate a high-performing team.
  • Health, Safety & Wellbeing - Ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for children, staff, and families.

Essential Criteria:

  • A personal commitment to the school's vision, mission and values underpinning the delivery of a Christian based education to students is essential to this role.
  • Bachelor or degree in Early Childhood Teaching (as approved by relevant authorities).
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of educational frameworks and regulations.
  • Outstanding knowledge and skills in developing curriculum, incorporating educational principles and approaches.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to supervise team members to achieve organisational outcomes within time and cost limitations.
  • Ability to provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring support to teachers and educators within the Early Learning Centre.
