We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Brisbane. With a strong focus on delivering high-quality services, we value empathy and believe in promoting choice, hope, building resilience, and growing individual self-determination.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, and at least 2 years of experience in a finance role. They will be proficient in using accounting software, have strong attention to detail and accuracy, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will assist with budgeting and financial reporting, conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends and variances, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on financial matters. They will also ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance department, and process payroll, NDIS funding claims, payment queries, accounts payable, and receivables.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Assist with budgeting and financial reporting
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends and variances
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on financial matters
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and regulatory bodies
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance department
  • Process Payroll
  • Process and Manage NDIS Funding Claims
  • Process NDIS Payment Queries
  • Process and Manage Accounts Payable and Receivables

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance role
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in using accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Experience working in the disability sector or a similar industry is highly desirable
