About the Opportunity

At Vision Australia, we're committed to empowering people who are blind or have low vision to live the life they choose.

We're seeking an experienced Orientation & Mobility Specialist to join our team, providing assessment, training, and intervention services to assist individuals in achieving equity and access in their communities.

In this role, you'll work closely with clients, carers, and families to develop personalized mobility plans, utilizing your expertise in assessing travel abilities, advising on mobility aids, and monitoring the use of low vision aids.

As a key member of our team, you'll contribute to our mission of making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' travel abilities and develop tailored mobility plans.
  • Advise on and prescribe a range of mobility aids to meet individual needs.
  • Monitor and advise on the use of low vision aids as applicable to a mobility program.
