Therapy Assistant

Your Role:

As a Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality therapy services, supporting the wellbeing of residents, and contributing to the development and implementation of programs that meet their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents and aged care consumers with group and individual activity programs designed to stimulate cognitive ability
• Contribute to the evaluation of care plans
• Actively contribute to the development and implementation of innovative and balanced activity programs
• Assist therapists in maintaining/improving functional independence
• Complete therapy statistics on a daily basis
• Provide feedback to therapists on the outcome of interventions

Key Requirements:

• Completion of a Certificate III in Allied Health
• Experience working as a Therapy Assistant or Lifestyle Coordinator is desirable
• Experience working in the Aged Care Industry, in either community or residential
• Verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, residents, consumers, families, and service providers
