We are seeking an experienced Senior Lawyer Writer, Commercial to join our team at Thomson Reuters. As a commercial law expert, you will be responsible for planning, researching, writing, editing and maintaining premium quality commercial and contract law know-how resources. You will also be required to keep up-to-date with commercial law topics and monitor legal, practice and market developments relevant to lawyers in both in-house and private practice environments.

About the Role

  • Key Responsibilities: Plan, research, write, edit and maintain premium quality commercial and contract law know-how resources. Keep up-to-date with commercial law topics and monitor legal, practice and market developments.
  • Key Requirements: Admitted to practise as a lawyer in Australia, with 5 years+ PQE experience working as a commercial lawyer, most recently in an in-house role or a top/mid-tier private practice.

About You

  • Are you a highly motivated and experienced commercial law expert with a passion for re-inventing the way knowledge professionals work?
  • Do you have a strong understanding of contract law and commercial law topics, including supply of goods and services, supply chains, procurement, agency, distribution, outsourcing, ESG and ethical trading?
  • Are you able to work independently and communicate effectively with your manager and the rest of the Practical Law team?
