Cyber Security Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team at Santos. As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in protecting our organisation's digital infrastructure from emerging cyber threats.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our network assets are appropriately configured, securely maintained, and thoroughly documented. This includes overseeing the patch management process for all network devices, performing regular review and reporting activities to ensure network assets are configured and maintained in line with our network hardening and configuration standards and industry best practices.
You will also be responsible for ensuring all network assets are appropriately documented, including maintaining artifacts such as per-site and inter-site connectivity diagrams. Additionally, you will provide support for internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and evidence of compliance with security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the patch management process for all network devices
- Perform regular review and reporting activities to ensure network assets are configured and maintained in line with our network hardening and configuration standards and industry best practices
- Ensure all network assets are appropriately documented
- Provide support for internal and external audits
- Provide cybersecurity inputs and guidance on proposed network changes
- Provide oversight of new and existing firewall rulesets
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have the following key skills and experience:
- Experience as a Network Administrator, Architect or Engineer
- Exposure developing and implementing security and network architecture frameworks and designs
- Knowledge of designing, developing, and supporting security and network infrastructure architectures and solutions
- Experience in scripting with languages such as Python and PowerShell
- Understanding of common switching and routing protocols and concepts
- Understanding of network hardening concepts such as network access control
Ideally, you are Degree Qualified or Equivalent Tertiary and/or relevant work/industry experience in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Security, with a minimum Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification.
