Job Title: Maintenance Operations Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced maintenance operations team lead to oversee the maintenance of electrical and control systems for our straddle carriers.

This is a key role within our maintenance team, requiring strong leadership skills and technical expertise in electrical and control systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of maintenance technicians in troubleshooting, calibrations/adjustments, and preventive measures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day maintenance activities focused on electrical and control systems for straddle carriers and related container handling equipment.
  • Lead and mentor a team of electricians and diagnostic specialists to troubleshoot, repair, and optimise systems including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, wiring, and power distribution.
  • Develop and implement need based improvements in preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate with operations, planning, and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime and ensure service reliability.
  • Analyse equipment failures, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and initiate corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, preferably in port or terminal operations.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, drive systems, industrial networking, and diagnostic tools is essential.
  • Familiarity with MAXIMO or similar Computerized Maintenance Management Systems is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills are necessary for this role.
