Salary and BenefitsCasual English Language Teachers are paid $84.45 per hour for teaching duties and $48.56 per hour for non-teaching duties. We offer paid professional development opportunities and an in-house curriculum that streamlines lesson planning and delivery through our learning management system.
Successful candidates will be available 5 days a week (Mon-Fri) or 3 consecutive days per week (Mon-Wed or Wed-Fri). Great office location – Bourke Street Melbourne.
Job DescriptionCasual English Language Educators are responsible for delivering and administering English language classes with the support of Deputy Directors, Academic Coordinators, and mentors. They contribute to strengthening curriculum delivery through actions such as developing supplementary materials, supporting colleagues, and identifying process improvements.
RequirementsTo be successful in this position, you must have:
- Bachelor degree or Diploma equivalent to at least 3 years full-time study
- Recognised TESOL qualifications
- TESOL experience, both face-to-face and online
- Current Working with Children Clearance
- Demonstrated ability to teach across a range of levels and programs
- Demonstrated ability to use various applications to design digital learning content
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Sound organisational, administrative, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The following qualifications and experience are desirable:
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in teaching English for Academic Purposes leading to direct entry to university courses, both online and face-to-face
- Offshore TESOL experience
- Teacher training experience
- Qualifications at post-graduate diploma level or higher in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or Education
