About Our Client

Our client is a large, well-established and growing ASX-listed mining business undergoing a phase of transformation. To bolster their finance function, they are seeking an interim financial accountant to potentially become a permanent member of their team.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Prepare and consolidate monthly financial results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Accounting Standards and ASX reporting requirements.
  • Develop and submit annual and interim financial reports, adhering to regulatory standards and guidelines.
  • Prepare the annual remuneration report, highlighting key performance indicators and compensation structures.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis, including support for investor presentations and strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare standalone company accounts to facilitate dividend payments, ensuring transparency and compliance.
  • Offer accounting and regulatory guidance, assisting with the preparation of accounting papers for the Audit and Risk Committee.
  • Provide technical accounting support, identifying and analyzing complex accounting issues.
  • Prepare corporate monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations, addressing technical accounting matters.
  • Coordinate and oversee the audit process, serving as the primary point of contact for auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations, maintaining a high level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Participate in ad-hoc project work as required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt.

**Requirements and Qualifications:**

  • Proven experience in a similar financial accounting role within a listed business.
  • Knowledge of the mining and resources sector is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to start immediately or on short notice, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
