Waste Management Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Waste Management Specialist to join our team. As a specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective processing of various waste chemical streams.
- Provide technical support and guidance for the acceptance, treatment, and storage of liquid and technical waste.
- Deliver technical and analytical support to the sales team and external customers.
- Assist operations with waste management and production activities.
- Run treatability trials, select treatment methods, and validate their suitability to ensure wastes are treated safely and profitably.
- Liaise with relevant authorities and ensure compliance with legislation and company standards.

- Degree in Chemistry or related field, and experience working with waste or hazardous chemicals within an industrial environment.
- Exposure to wastewater treatment or chemical field sampling experience.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessments and preparation of work instructions.
- Accurate record-keeping skills within tightly regulated environments.
- Solid understanding of chemical handling legislation, including storage and disposal requirements.
