We are seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to join our Enterprise and Practice team at MYOB. As a key member of our architecture team, you will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of our business management platform.
As a Software Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers. You will work closely with product and engineering leaders to develop technology strategy and roadmaps, evaluate solutions, and guide implementation into our customers' hands.
You will also contribute to crafting an outstanding team culture by role modeling a collaborative approach to working with team members, offering leadership, support, mentoring, and guidance.
The Skills You'll Need
- Proven experience as a Software Architect/Developer/Engineer working in a team environment, with multiple years in an agile, complex environment.
- Extensive experience simplifying sophisticated systems/problems and making them easier to modify, extend, and scale as well as cheaper to run.
- Comprehensive experience with, and a passion for implementing good engineering practices including TDD, Continuous Delivery, deployment automation, observability, good modular design, and clean code.
- Well-developed people leadership skills. Previous experience mentoring and coaching staff on technical issues.
- Experience with a wide range of software development languages and tools.
- Proven understanding or experience deploying cloud-based solutions utilizing known good practice for scalability, resilience, and recovery.
- Passion for solving business problems with technology.
- Experience in data-driven decision making.
