Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Drilling Specialist to join our team for major concrete works at Kwinana Port Jetty. The successful candidate will be responsible for drilling, chasing gunite, spraying skim coat concrete, breaking out concrete, encapsulating areas, and cleaning up.

About the Role:

This is a casual position that requires flexibility with working days, as we need to work around ship schedules coming and going. The successful candidate will be required to work 5-7 days a week, with weekend work possible but not guaranteed. The role involves working 40-55 hours per week, depending on ship schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Drilling, chasing gunite, spraying skim coat concrete, breaking out concrete, encapsulating areas, and cleaning up
  • Working safely and following all safety protocols
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Communicating effectively with the team and supervisors
  • Meeting deadlines and completing tasks efficiently

Requirements:

  • Previous construction and concrete experience
  • Experience in gunite and/or shotcrete an advantage
  • Carpentry and drilling experience also an advantage
  • White Card
  • Current MSIC Card (desirable)
  • Fitness, health, and hardworking attitude
  • Full P.P.E. (Long Sleeves & Trousers, Hard Hat, Steel Cap Lace-up Boots, Glove, Glasses)
  • Driver’s License/Reliable Transport
  • Ability to work in a team or autonomously
