Lead Tax Specialist

This role presents an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in financial statement preparation and tax compliance for diverse clients.
The position involves preparing complex financial statements, income tax returns, and statutory compliance documents. You will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards.
Additionally, this role entails providing expert tax planning and general business advice to a broad range of clients across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparing detailed financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
- Assisting in the preparation and lodgment of Business Activity Statements (BAS), Income Statement Annual Reports (IAS), and other statutory compliance documents.
- Remaining current with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards.
- Providing personalized tax planning and general business guidance to clients from multiple sectors.
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an Australian public practice firm.
- A valid and ongoing right to work in Australia.
- Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software is considered an asset.
