Job Opportunity: Educator and Researcher

CQUniversity seeks a driven academic to contribute to teaching, research, and service activities in the School of Education and the Arts.

The ideal candidate will develop and deliver foundation and profession-focused units, engage in quality research and scholarly activity, and provide support to students across undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching: Develop and deliver high-quality units using multi-modal delivery strategies for students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Research: Engage in quality research and scholarly activity contributing to the School's research program and publishing in reputable journals.
  • Service: Support students, staff, and external stakeholders through roles such as curriculum development, course coordination, research projects, or supervision responsibilities.
Requirements:

For Lecturer/Senior Lecturer Positions:

  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in Geography, Environmental Science, or a closely related discipline.
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to complete a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching/Education.
  • Experience teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Proven research record with recent publications.

Additional Requirements for Senior Lecturer Position:

  • PhD in Geography, Environmental Science, or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience in team leadership and mentoring junior academic staff.
  • Ability to develop engaging teaching materials and collaborate effectively with industry and community partners.
