Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Design Management Professional to lead our multidisciplinary design teams in Canberra. The successful candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in engineering, architecture, or a related field and have experience managing high-performing design teams focused on Defence Estate projects.

  • Oversight of design teams including all design, documentation, and related activities.
  • Accountability for the overall delivery of Design Services aligning with the design management plan and project plans.
  • Development and implementation of effective Design Management Plans.
About You:

To be considered, you will require:

  • A relevant tertiary degree.
  • Proven background in leading multidisciplinary design teams.
  • A current Australian Government Security Clearance at Baseline level or higher.
  • Familiarity with Defence's design standards and requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex design-related projects from initiation to completion.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality designs within set deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on design progress and performance.
