About this role:

This is a fixed term opportunity to drive strategic planning and execution of the Melbourne 2050 Vision.

  • This is an exciting opportunity to build on your expertise in strategic planning and execution, while supporting the development of the Council Plan and Corporate Strategy.
  • You will be responsible for guiding cross-functional teams to develop and implement the Melbourne 2050 Vision within the program.
  • Enable Councillors, stakeholders, and community to develop, communicate, and execute strategic initiatives using a systems-thinking approach.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, effectively negotiating and influencing outcomes that align with the organisation's strategic objectives.
  • Plan and coordinate communication and engagement with community and stakeholders to ensure understanding of the Melbourne 2050 Vision and Council Plan.

Requirements:

  • Extensive expertise in strategic planning and execution
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
