About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Remondis Australia Pty Ltd in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and operational.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy diesel engines and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Collaborate with other technicians and mechanics to resolve technical issues and improve workflow
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques
  • Work safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies
Requirements
  • Qualifications in Heavy Vehicle, Mobile Plant, Light Vehicle, or Diesel Mechanic, or Auto-Electrician with relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Current driver's license and willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical
