Key Responsibilities- Foster collaborative efforts with the team and the Department of Education to drive effectively internal staff engagement in leadership development programs.
- Raise awareness of the SLI's work.
- Create engaging digital and written content, including videos, audios, and website materials.
- Provide strategic advice to senior management for impactful decision-making and aligning communication strategies with the department's goals.
- Opportunity to attend events and workshops in Sydney to network, grow, and achieve organisational objectives.
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing/communications and/or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Hold a valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
To be successful in this role, you will have a proactive and collaborative approach to working in a team. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills. Additionally, you will demonstrate:
- Strong experience in digital media, website management, and content production.
- Proven track record in developing effective communication strategies and reaching target audiences.
- Familiarity with educational leadership or public sector is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and experience using Adobe Creative Suite to design and produce high-quality visual content.
- Have 5+ years' experience in communications or a related field.
