About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, VIC, Australia. As a key member of our delivery team, you'll drive the development of software-enabled capabilities that balance user needs with external constraints and requirements.

Your Responsibilities

  • Owning software-enabled solutions deployed to customers, optimizing for value delivery to end-users
  • Designing and implementing scalable software systems, leveraging multiple external teams' output
  • Contributing to existing software services' design and development, aiming for reusable components across product lines
  • Developing software running on- and off-robotic platforms, using various technologies
  • Creating test and simulation fixtures operating with software- and hardware-in-the-loop
  • SUPPORTING SYSTEM DELIVERY, CONFIGURATION, TRAINING, AND SUSTAINMENT OWN CUSTOMER SUCCESS ON ONE OR MORE CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS, IN COORDINATION WITH ANDURIL MISSION OPERATIONS ENGINEERS AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGERS

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, Engineering, or relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive professional experience working as a Software Engineer with one or more domains and/or technologies of expertise
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills
  • Systems and/or application programming skills including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design, and system design
  • Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems
  • Capacity to work holistically on software-enabled capabilities up and down the software stack and through lifecycle through design, implementation, operation, and sustainment
  • CAPACITY TO ACT AS THE TECHNICAL OWNER FOR THE DELIVERY OF A MIXED HARDWARE/SOFTWARE SYSTEM, INCLUDING STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT, SCOPING, REQUIREMENTS DEFINITION, ROADMAP MANAGEMENT, TEAM COORDINATION, DESIGN, IMPLEMENTATION, AND SUSTENANCE
  • CAPACITY TO LEARN AND GROW INDIVIDUALLY, WHILE MENTORING JUNIOR TEAM MEMBERS EFFECTIVELY, BUILDING TEAM COHESION AND CAPACITY
  • ABILITY TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN AN AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE
