Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Sodexo. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing installation and maintenance of electrical equipment, refrigeration maintenance, and aircon systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret electrical code specifications and meet safety codes
  • Work with vendors and carry out deep cleaning of all aircons and reefers on site
  • Perform site maintenance and electrical inspections/repairs as instructed by the Client and/or FM Supervisor
  • Troubleshoot and test electrical equipment
  • Read and interpret drawings and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
  • Perform computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment
  • Troubleshoot faults in electrical systems
  • Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area
  • Work with electrical contractors and outside vendors to obtain quotes and proposals for electrical work
  • Recommend supplies and equipment for purchase and maintain the inventory of equipment and supplies
  • Complete and record regular inspections and tagging of electrical equipment when requested
  • Maintain equipment, including washing machines, kitchen equipment, and all other electrical equipment within the village grounds

Requirements:

  • Electrical Tradespersons License
  • MSIC
  • LV CPR
  • BOSIET w/CAEBs
  • Police clearance
  • Cert 3 In Air Conditioning and Refrigeration UEE32211
  • C class Drivers Licence

You will be required to undertake and successfully complete a site-specific medical, including drug and alcohol screening, induction, permit to work training, competent electrical person, and isolating authority as per site access requirements.

We are looking for someone with exceptional communication skills, who is well-presented at all times, and can be ready to 'hit the ground running' with a desire to excel. Experience working in a similar role, preferably in a similar environment, is highly desirable.

You will be highly organized, with the ability to prioritize work and exercise discretion within established policies, guidelines, and procedures. You will also have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as a proven ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment with a positive attitude.
