Local HR Driver with General Freight Experience

Job Description:

At our company, we are seeking a reliable and skilled Local HR Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for handling local pickups and deliveries of various freight restrained with different types of restraints.

You will operate Tautliner and Open rigid trucks, ensuring proper use of gates, tarps, chains and load restraint equipment. Your primary focus will be on timely and safe delivery of goods to designated locations.

Maintaining a strong commitment to safety and professional presentation is crucial in this role. You will perform pre-start and end-of-day maintenance checks on vehicles and collaborate effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A manual HR licence as a minimum (Road ranger gearbox)
  • Minimum 2 years of HR driving experience with general freight
  • Sound knowledge of securing loads with tarps and multiple load restraints including straps, dog & chains and binders
  • A forklift ticket and willingness to help out in the yard as required is preferred
