Unlocking Business Growth: Senior Data Expert

We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect to lead the development of our data analytics infrastructure.
This role offers the opportunity to create and implement data practices that drive business growth. With a strong sense of ownership over our data and analytics platforms, you will positively impact team member happiness and productivity.
This is a hybrid role working from Melbourne or Sydney locations, with opportunities for professional growth and development. You will work closely with Product and Engineering teams to determine where best to measure success and drive cross-functional efforts related to data quality, reporting, insights, and remediating data inconsistencies and incompleteness to answer business questions.
- Design, construct, install, and maintain large-scale data processing systems and databases.
- Integrate data from various sources, ensuring data consistency and reliability.
- Build and maintain efficient data pipelines to support the collection, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data into data warehouses or data lakes.
- Optimize data processing systems for performance and scalability.
- Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
- Document data processes, architecture, and workflows to ensure clarity and continuity.
Our ideal candidate has experience in using SQL data wrangling skills, data modeling tools like dbt, Python or R programming languages, and modern event data stacks such as Segment, Amplitude, Looker Studio, BigQuery, Google Analytics, and AWS/GCP. Additionally, they have a strong vision of how an industry-leading modern analytics stack looks like and can develop a clear strategy for building this out.
