The role of Senior Financial Accountant will involve:

  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Overseeing forecasting and budgeting for overhead and balance sheet accounts.
  • Managing the company's weekly cash flow forecast and ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Handling tax compliance reporting, including payroll tax, BAS, and FBT.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements for financial and accounting processes.
  • Processing payroll and managing financial policies and procedures.
  • Supporting team members to balance workloads and perform ad hoc tasks as needed.
  • Reviewing financial records for accuracy and preparing monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Maintaining the fixed assets register and recording monthly depreciation (both accounting and tax).
  • Posting entries to the general ledger, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Completing monthly intercompany reconciliations and reviewing and supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.

The key to success in this role is:

  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • A clear understanding of inventory control, analysis, and forecasting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
