Occulus International, a market leader in the food manufacturing industry based in Western Sydney, seeks an experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead the Maintenance department and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support site operations.

This role plays a crucial part in maintaining seamless and efficient operations within the department, particularly during designated shifts.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing supervision, development, and training programs for the site maintenance team, as well as certification requirements.
  • Leading maintenance programs, including Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, Predictive Maintenance, Equipment Overhauls, and Upgrades.
  • Demonstrating proactive and collaborative leadership.
  • Taking the lead in ensuring safety and participating in incident and hazard management.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting operational issues and escalating when necessary.
  • Ensuring maintenance activities contribute to the production of high-quality products.
  • Safeguarding employee training in safe work execution and driving enhancements to eliminate safety hazards throughout the factory.
  • Supervising workflows and addressing staffing requirements.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Experience leading medium to large teams.
  • A background in safe handling and operating of machines.
  • Demonstrated leadership in food and beverage manufacturing.
  • A firm dedication to Workplace Health and Safety.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and WHS systems.
  • Effective communication skills with various stakeholders at different levels.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge to assist in maintenance and troubleshooting of machines.
  • Proven experience in a similar production role within a beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Australian working rights.
