Hours: Minimum 24 hours per week

Roster: Rotating roster which will include weekend work

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Service Deli Assistant to join our team at Costco North Lakes. As a Service Deli Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving food products, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide prompt and courteous service to members, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of food products, including meats, cheeses, vegetables, and sushi, using commercial equipment and following health and safety guidelines.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing equipment and surfaces.
  • Inventory Management: Count and record inventory, including product on hand and production needs, and document production on daily forms.
  • Teamwork: Assist other areas in the department as necessary and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals.

Requirements:

  • Manual Handling: Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including boxes and equipment, up to 20kg.
  • Adaptability: Strong adaptive skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills, including verbal and written communication.
