Key Responsibilities- Deliver Psychosocial Interventions: Provide a range of psychosocial interventions, including specialist discipline-specific therapies, counseling, psychoeducation, and direct strategic support across the Pilbara region.
- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including risk assessments, to identify the needs of clients and develop effective treatment plans.
- Develop and Implement Recovery Plans: Assist clients to develop a comprehensive individual recovery plan and facilitate effective delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of this plan.
- Engage with Clients and Stakeholders: Actively engage with potential clients and advocate for clients with other services, ensuring seamless coordination and support.
- Provide Guidance and Support: Mentor and provide guidance to Mental Health Workers, promoting professional development and best practice.
- Qualifications and Experience: A degree in Psychology with AHPRA registration or a degree in Social Work or Nursing with relevant registration (i.e., AASW, AHPRA) and mental health counseling experience.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
- Knowledge and Understanding: Extensive knowledge of mental health issues, working with people in regional/remote areas, and the non-government mental health sector.
- Remote Work Experience: Willingness and ability to live and work in a remote location, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities presented by remote work.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated keyboard skills and computer literacy, including the suite of Office programs, and the ability to handle multiple tasks, competing interests, and ambiguity and complexity.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Proven ability to build and maintain sustainable internal and external relationships, lead and collaborate with others, and ensure key stakeholders are involved and informed.
- Clearance and Certification: Must have a full driver's license with no restrictions and be willing to undergo a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
