Early Learning Centre Manager

We are seeking an experienced Early Learning Centre Manager to lead our new centre in Nyernilang Lar. The centre offers childcare and Three and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten services for 102 children.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work alongside the Centre Director to oversee the daily operations of the centre, ensuring compliance with regulations and organisational policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Centre Director in planning and overseeing the delivery of high-quality, sustainable, compliant and safe early learning and care services and programs.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the centre, including staffing, child enrolment, budgeting and expenditure, stakeholder management and centre-related communications.
  • Managing all aspects of staffing, including recruitment, rostering, performance, professional development and mentoring, safety and wellbeing, and promoting a positive team culture that values diversity and innovation.
  • Engaging with staff on a variety of issues, fostering a collaborative centre dynamic that encourages communication and shared problem-solving.
  • Assisting in the development of the centre's educational programs and pedagogical approach.
  • Exemplifying and embodying the Early Learning philosophy and values.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including community groups, neighbouring early learning services, other early childhood and family services, and local councils.
  • Creating a positive and welcoming experience for families.
  • Ensuring all legislative requirements, policies and procedures are met and maintained.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in early childhood education and care, with a focus on leadership and management.
  • Experience in overseeing daily operations, including staffing, budgeting, and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with staff, parents, and external stakeholders.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable, and compliant early learning and care services.
  • A proven track record of managing budgets, resources, and personnel effectively.
