About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a Teacher of Humanities and Social Sciences. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students.
The ideal candidate will have:
- a tertiary qualification in Education
- eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead
The successful applicant will be able to:
- create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
- demonstrate the ability and qualifications to teach HSIE. The ability to teach Religious Education is advantageous
- utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress
- employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback
- support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
- demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being
- integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences
