Key Senior Environmental Scientist Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled senior environmental scientist to join our team in Perth, Australia. The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering strategic solutions to clients facing environmental management challenges.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contaminated land projects, with experience in site supervision, managing complex site investigations, and various sampling methods. They will also have a good understanding of NEPM and contaminated land provisions within Western Australia.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering Expert Assessments: Developing site management plans, remediation action plans, and other reports for external and internal clients.
  • Leading Site Investigations: Supervising a range of investigations, including soil, vapour, surface water, groundwater assessments, and drilling programs.
  • Preparing Project Proposals: Developing cost-effective, tailored fee proposals for clients.
  • Project Management: Initiating, planning, leading, and executing contaminated land and groundwater projects from start to finish.
  • Clients Engagement: Engaging with clients and internal disciplinary teams to determine innovative solutions to complex environmental problems.
  • Reporting: Analyzing data and preparing clear and concise technical reports to a high standard.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Engineering, Hydrogeology or Geology.
  • A minimum of 5 years in contaminated land projects, with hydrogeology experience desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in site supervision, managing complex site investigations, and various sampling methods.
  • Strong knowledge of NEPM and contaminated land provisions within WA.
  • Strong communication and report writing skills.
