Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Perfusion Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining advanced cardiovascular support equipment, participating in clinical rosters, and assisting in education and technique development.

The primary purpose of the position is to assemble, operate and maintain equipment for cardiopulmonary bypass perfusion, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, intra-aortic balloon counter pulsation and other devices for supporting the cardiovascular system.

This includes participation in a clinical roster both in and out of normal working hours. The role will also involve assisting in logging and auditing activity in perfusion and participating in education, training and development of new techniques and new technology in perfusion.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science or equivalent, Certificate in Perfusion from the Australasian Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion or equivalent, and extensive experience in cardiopulmonary bypass and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation.

They must also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships with team members.

Additionally, they must be able to work under pressure and have sound organisational skills.
