About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced TBM Supervisor to join our team on the Snowy 2.0 project. As a key member of our underground tunnelling operations team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling site operations to ensure compliance with the construction programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily mechanical running, operation, and maintenance of the TBM and associated mechanical equipment
  • Organize and plan work for future mechanical operations, including managing preventative maintenance
  • Develop specifications for production and determine materials, equipment, material flows, and layout of plant and systems
  • Liaise with the Mechanical Manager for all TBM, conveyor, gantry crane, and associated equipment assembly/installation/dismantling, commissioning, and testing works
  • Carry out daily plant inspections, complete, and submit maintenance/breakdown reports
  • Liaise with the TBM Electrical team for planning of ongoing and future works
  • Supervise and provide support to Mechanics on shift for trouble shooting and preventative maintenance
  • Ensure Method Statements and Risk assessments are in place for ongoing and future mechanical works
  • Inspect and audit the plant to ensure optimum performance is maintained in accordance with Australian Standards
  • Work alongside the Engineering team to prepare design proposals
  • Deliver weekly and monthly reporting, schedules, and rosters
  • Ensure consistent, adequate supply of equipment and materials
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or trade qualified
  • White Card
  • Extensive TBM experience, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role supervising tunnelling construction activities and crew
  • Exposure to Drill and Blast, Road Header, or TBM excavation techniques
  • Expertise working with underground excavation, ideally tunnel construction, plant technicians, and support crews
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering health, safety, quality, and environmental
  • Experienced in the coordination of a team of underground workers and working closely with Tunnel Engineers
