About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Environmental Service Worker to join our team at Churches of Christ's Bribie Island Aged Care Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and supporting the well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake food handling, cleaning, and laundry duties in various areas, including the main kitchen, bedrooms, dining rooms, and common areas.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, serving food to elderly residents, and maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Set up and clear dining rooms, and tray service to resident rooms, ensuring a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Maintain food hygiene and safety practices according to legislation, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.

About You

We are looking for a reliable and team-oriented individual who is passionate about providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean and safe environment. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, and it is essential that you have compassion for the elderly and are committed to their well-being.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in the Aged Care industry is desirable, but not essential.
  • Experience working in commercial kitchens and operating equipment is desirable.
  • Physical capacity to carry out the duties required.
  • Current National Police Certificate or the ability to acquire.
