About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Designer to join our team as part of our new Resources Hub. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for providing and leading design services, technical input, and direction in design to assist with the development and execution of growth strategies for new energy and resources business within ANZ and globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and analysis of SMP systems and equipment for civil construction and mining projects, including conducting feasibility studies and creating detailed engineering designs.
  • Collaboration with project teams, including project managers, engineers, technicians, and contractors, to coordinate Mechanical and Piping Design activities and communicate technical information.
  • Undertaking modelling and drafting reviews to ensure consistently high standards of design and drafting.
  • Identifying and selecting appropriate civil materials and equipment, components, and systems based on project requirements and industry standards.
  • Overseeing design and checking drawings and deliverables for compliance with client expectations, standards, specifications, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience in design experience and checking in Greenfield and Brownfield projects across Heavy Industry, Mining, Materials Handling and Process Plant Design industry.
  • Robust knowledge of international and local 3D CAD design methods, applicable codes and specifications associated with new energy and resources (mining) projects.
  • Competency in design software such as MicroStation CE, AutoCAD, SP3D, E3D and Navisworks Simulator.
  • Multi-skilled in the use of Modelling software and a passion for digital project delivery.
