The Regional Inventory Manager is a senior-level position that requires expertise in supply chain optimisation and team leadership. The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team to develop and implement an inventory strategy that enhances stock levels and overall performance.
About The PositionAs a key member of the regional operations team, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence across the supply chain. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing strategies to improve inventory management practices, ensuring seamless supply chain operations, and fostering alignment with strategic, financial, and customer-centric outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement regional inventory strategies to optimise stock levels and performance.
- Provide thought leadership and foster alignment with strategic, operational, financial, and customer-centric outcomes across state branches and centres.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing multi-disciplinary team to ensure collaboration and adoption of best-in-class processes and techniques.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve logistical challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement in regional inventory practices to enhance competitive edge.
- Monitor and report on inventory performance, including KPI tracking, turnover, stock accuracy, and cost management.
- Champion safety by embedding a Zero Harm culture and ensuring compliance with WHS standards.
- Results-driven professional with a passion for supply chain optimisation and team leadership.
- Proven experience in inventory management or a related role.
- Leadership experience in building high-performing teams, including recruitment, coaching, and performance management.
- Strategic thinking and ability to formulate strategies that drive commercial value and supplier efficiency.
- Regional expertise and familiarity with state-specific regulations, supplier networks, and logistics.
- Lean principles and knowledge of Lean methodologies (e.g., 5S).
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and warehouse management software.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Collaborative mindset to work cross-functionally and ensure seamless supply chain operations.
