Diagnostic Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Laboratory Specialist to join our team in Penrith, NSW. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for handling daily operations related to processing and analyzing Pathology specimens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and perform data entry of Pathology specimens.
  • Set up and calibrate laboratory equipment.
  • Analyze and catalog laboratory samples.
  • Monitor equipment and stock levels, and order supplies as needed.
  • Sterilize and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Label, sort, and store laboratory samples.
  • Monitor and report on experiments and tests as required.
  • Dispose of waste and clean lab equipment after use.
  • Promote TDDA services and develop new business opportunities.
  • Maintain testing vehicles and perform routine checks.
  • Conduct laboratory testing and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Perform clerical tasks, including printing and filing reports.

About the Role:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Familiarity with handling Pathology specimens and operating lab equipment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a rotating roster and 8 hour shift schedule.
