Company Overview

Clicks IT Recruitment is a leading Australian organization that plays a vital role in the daily travel of millions of Australians.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Architect to join our team. As a Senior Engineering Specialist working on a portfolio of systems, you will be responsible for the technical performance, sustainment and enhancements of one or more operational systems.

About the Role:

  • This is a 2-year contract opportunity.
  • The role is based at our Eagle Farm location, with a hybrid engagement model that requires regular office attendance.

Responsibilities:

  1. You will perform systems engineering tasks aligned with frameworks, processes, and policies.
  2. You will develop technical specifications and standards based on customer requirements.
  3. You will investigate and resolve complex system issues, recommending and implementing effective solutions.
  4. You will prepare and review test plans, participating in system testing for new implementations and updates.
  5. You will analyse system performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  6. You will oversee system changes to maintain technical integrity and consistency.
  7. You will provide specialist technical expertise and contribute to cross-training initiatives.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • You have extensive experience in designing, developing, testing, and implementing robust and reliable software systems, including quality assurance and configuration management.
  • You possess strong knowledge of and experience with applying Systems Engineering practices.
  • You have proven expertise in stakeholder and vendor management.
  • You demonstrate ability to take ownership of responsibilities and work independently as a senior team member to deliver successful outcomes.
  • You have exceptional documentation skills, including preparing and reviewing solution architecture and system design documents that align with strategies and initiatives.
  • You have experience in the design, maintenance, and support of advanced technical systems, particularly in mission-critical environments.
  • You hold a degree in Engineering or Information Technology from a recognized institution.
  • You meet the eligibility criteria for registration as a Professional Engineer in a relevant engineering field, in compliance with applicable legislation.
