Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a skilled General Practitioner to provide medical support in Strahan and Zeehan, Tasmania. As a Locum GP, you will work in a solo capacity, with admin and nursing support available. The role involves working across two clinics, with a split week providing support in Zeehan on Mondays and Strahan from Tuesday to Friday. You will also be required to provide GP assist on call, which is telephone support only, across Monday to Thursday evenings.

The clinics use Best Practice software and offer 15-minute standard consultation times. You will be paid $1200 per day for clinic-based work and $400 per night for GP assist on call cover, averaging a daily rate of $1520 or 65% of billings, dependent on which is greater across the week.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must hold FRACGP/FACRRM or VR qualification, have a current Specialist registration with AHPRA, and full working rights in Australia.

Strahan is a beautiful town located on the west coast of Tasmania, offering stunning water-side views and a range of outdoor activities. Zeehan is a 30-minute drive away and features a rich history and one of the best history museums in Tasmania.
