Job Description

We are seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join our established Geotechnical team in Melbourne, working on a variety of civil infrastructure projects across the Power, Water, Industrial, and Transport markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and managing ground investigations, designing geotechnical solutions, and developing their report and job management skills.

The key duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing technical advice on geotechnical issues to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Assisting with project planning and deliverables of technical complexity
  • Coordinating and/or conducting geotechnical investigations, including interpreting geotechnical data, performing analysis, and drawing conclusions/recommendations
  • Preparing geotechnical reports and undertaking field assignments
  • Preparing proposals and reports for clients with appropriate senior review
  • Maintaining client contact and customer liaison
  • Identifying safety hazards and completing OH&S incident reporting

About You

We are looking for a chartered (or near chartered) Geotechnical Engineer with solid experience in a consultancy environment. You will have a good understanding of geotechnical design principles and have assisted with project planning and deliverables of a technical complexity. As you develop your project management skills, you will step into an open and supportive culture that values the skills you can contribute to the group.
