Aged Care Volunteer

We are seeking volunteers to participate in our Aged Care Visitor Scheme, which aims to reduce loneliness and isolation experienced by older Australians.
As a volunteer, you will be matched with an older person and visit them on a regular basis. These visits can take place within the person's home or within an aged care setting.
The role is designed to be flexible, allowing you to choose the frequency and duration of your visits based on your availability.
During your visits, you will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities with your assigned participant, such as sharing a cup of tea, watching TV together, playing cards or simply chatting.
We provide all necessary support and resources to ensure that you feel confident and equipped to make a positive impact in the life of your assigned participant.
To be eligible for this role, you will need to undergo a National Police check and provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination/Current Flu Certificate. You will also be required to complete online training prior to commencing your volunteering.
