Boilermaker Specialist Wanted

We are seeking skilled and experienced boilermakers to fill a 3-month contract position in a naval base workshop.

  • Fabrication: primarily involves jig work with some FCAW welding, performed on well-laid-out workstations.
  • A 50-56 hour working week is expected.
  • The role will be based in the Naval Base workshop.
  • Weekly pay scales apply.

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • The ideal candidate should hold a relevant trade qualification and be proficient in structural & plate work (Carbon & Mild Steel).
  • Prior experience with FCAW (Flux core) welding is highly desirable.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship are required.
  • The candidate should possess basic tools of the trade.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year of welding experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's licence is an advantage.
  • Australia work authorisation is also preferred.
  • The candidate must be able to commute to the Naval Base, WA location.
  • Relocation to the Naval Base, WA area prior to commencing work is a requirement.
