Teaching Opportunities

We are seeking a pool staff member to work weekends, either Saturday 8:00am to 4:00pm or Sunday 9:00am to 5:00pm. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with people and have a passion for teaching swimming.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality teaching to our clients in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach swimming lessons to clients of all ages
  • Provide high-quality instruction and support to students
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment

What We Offer

We provide a range of training opportunities delivered by nationally recognised coaches in personal development, strength training and coaching. Our organisation offers free on-site gym facilities for staff use.

Requirements:

  • Austswim and/or ASCTA certification (training can be provided)
  • Pool Lifeguard/First Aid qualifications
  • Valid Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable Persons (RWVP)
  • Current criminal history check (dated within 3 months of issue)
  • Demonstrated experience in working with all ages
  • Experience in the Aquatic Industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude

Working Conditions:

Our organisation undertakes several screening processes to ensure the protection of children in its care. This includes reference checks, qualification checks and professional registration checks.

The successful applicant must hold a current Tasmanian Working With Vulnerable Persons check (RWVP), gain a satisfactory National Police clearance (within 3 months of issue), be authorised to work in Australia and be prepared to undertake mandatory child safety training.
