Automation Specialist

Join us in this exciting opportunity to develop and implement testing solutions for the delivery of Information Management (IM)/Information Communications Technology (ICT) projects. As a Senior Automation Test Engineer, you will provide advice to ensure alignment with contemporary IM/ICT frameworks.
Job Description- Develop a comprehensive test automation strategy aligned with the overall testing and development strategy.
- Collaborate with specialist streams within DHS to define the scope of test automation and identify areas where automation can bring the most value.
- Evaluate, recommend, implement, and configure automation tools to establish a robust and efficient framework aligned with business and technical needs.
- Collaborate with the testing team and subject matter experts to create detailed test plans and test cases for automation.
- Define test data and environment requirements for automated test execution.
- Oversee the development of automated test scripts, ensuring they follow coding standards and are maintainable, scalable, and reusable.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and leading all phases of technical (automation) testing within large, complex IM/ICT programs/projects, including test strategy, resource management, cost and time estimation, and delivery of audit-ready artefacts.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing quality testing methods and frameworks to ensure the integrity of testing.
- Demonstrated expertise in selecting, designing, implementing, and optimising automation tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.
- Ability to initiate relationships and influence key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of required IM/ICT outcomes.
- Demonstrated high-level analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills with a proven record in the assessment and evaluation of testing requirements within a complex IM/ICT environment.
