Role Summary:

We are seeking a visionary leader to fill the role of Executive Director, Corporate, Heritage and Climate Action. This key position will oversee the strategic direction and operational oversight for the division, ensuring alignment with government priorities.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the public sector or similar environments, with a proven ability to navigate politically sensitive environments, emphasizing collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and inclusivity.

Key responsibilities include providing strategic direction, advising senior leaders, fostering a positive work culture, representing the organization at state, national, and international forums, and establishing partnerships with local communities and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications, strong leadership and negotiation skills, and a demonstrated understanding of corporate functions, including people management, finance, ICT systems, communications, governance, and workplace safety.

  • Strategic Policy Development: Develop and implement strategic policies that balance immediate operational needs with long-term sustainability goals.
  • Operational Oversight: Provide operational oversight for the Corporate, Heritage, and Climate Action Division, ensuring alignment with government priorities.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Foster a positive work culture by nurturing talent, supporting staff well-being, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the organization at state, national, and international forums, and establish partnerships with local communities and stakeholders.
