About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fire Safety Compliance Assessor to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our Property Compliance team, you will be responsible for conducting fire safety assessments and audits, as well as building compliance assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting essential fire safety measure audits and facilitating systems interface tests
  • Completing Annual Fire Safety Statements and managing assigned projects to ensure they meet defined project objectives, timeframes, budgets, and quality assurance standards
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and communicating with key internal and external stakeholders to convey high-quality and accurate technical information
  • Contributing to the region's pipeline of business to ensure revenue targets are achieved through proactive client relationships and project management
Requirements
  • Fire Safety Assessor accreditation with the Fire Protection Association of Australia
  • Proven experience in the auditing of essential fire safety measures, with a sound knowledge of AS1851, the BCA, and legacy codes and standards applicable to building fire safety
  • Excellent interpersonal, project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail and focus on clients
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with others, as well as the skills to communicate and build strong business relationships
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering and/or fire technology, plus previous experience in a consulting role
